Your Not Missing Talent. Your Missing Access.
How to manufacture momentum and map the intros that move the needle.
š Hey Founder,
Letās talk about something uncomfortable:
Most deals, partnerships, and funding donāt happen because your pitch was perfect.
They happen because someone made the right introduction.
Hereās the truth:
If youāre outside the hub ā geographically or socially ā you're not less talented.
You're just⦠further from access.
And access is the game.
š The Access Gap Is Real
You're probably not 10 intros away from your next big break.
You're 2.
But if you're not tracking your path to those two people, youāll waste months in motion with no momentum.
Hereās how it happens:
Youāre heads down building ā You miss events, miss names
You follow up loosely ā No system, no outcomes
You hope opportunities will surface instead of designing your week to create them
This is how smart founders get stuck:
They believe progress is about building. But access is a parallel engineāand if itās not running, you're stalled.
š Manufacturing Momentum: The Weekly System
If you're operating virtually or outside a major hub, this is non-negotiable:
1. Name the 15 people who can change your trajectory
Investors, customers, advisors, partners. Be precise. Not just VCsāyour VCs.
2. Map your second-degree path
Who do you know that knows them? Or knows someone that does?
3. Create a Weekly Access Sprint
Every week:
3 new cold connections
2 warm intros requested
1 strategic follow-up from last month
4. Use a CRM or spreadsheet like your runway depends on it
Because it does.
š§ Why Most Founders Don't Do This
Itās not about time.
Itās about structure.
Most people arenāt tracking this stuff because:
Thereās no immediate dopamine hit
It feels like admin, not strategy
They havenāt seen it modeled
But the founders who win arenāt the most charismatic or connected.
Theyāre the most intentional.
š ļø Want the Access Tracker I Use with Clients?

š§ Still Playing Checkers?
If you missed last weekās edition, we covered the biggest mindset shift in early-stage leadership:
Checkers vs. Chess.
If you're still trying to "do more" instead of systemizing, youāre playing the wrong game.
š Reply with CHESS MINDSET to get that framework too.
Until next week,
